How quickly does a swap take effect?

Swaps take effect within 60 seconds. We use a short cache to balance performance with quick updates. The new image will appear on all embeds once the cache refreshes.

Can I use this for OBS stream thumbnails?

Yes! This is exactly what swappable images are designed for. Add the permanent URL as a browser source or image in OBS, then swap the thumbnail from your phone or another device whenever you want.

What happens if I exceed the rate limit?

Free users can swap each image up to 25 times per hour, while Pro users get 100 swaps per hour. If you hit the limit, simply wait for the hour to reset. The rate limit is per-image, so you can still swap other images while one is rate-limited.

Are the URLs really permanent?

Yes! Once you create a swappable image, the URL (like foldr.space/img/abc123) never changes. You can swap the underlying image as many times as you want, and the URL stays exactly the same.

Can I revert to a previous version?

Yes! We keep the last 7 versions of each image. From your management dashboard, you can preview any version and revert to it with one click. Great for fixing mistakes or A/B testing.
